JAKARTA - Real Madrid's winning streak at the beginning of the 2022-2023 season has stalled. At the Osasuna meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu, Monday, October 3, Indonesian Western Time (WIB), Los Blancos drew 1-1.

Real Madrid had a 1-0 lead through Vinicius Junior's goal in the 42nd minute. However, Kike made the score then drew 1-1 in the 50th minute.

The hosts actually had a golden opportunity to be able to take the lead again in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, Karim Benzema's penalty failed to bear fruit.

The Real Madrid captain's shot ball hit the crossbar. The final score remains 1-1.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti refused to blame Benzema for this draw. He also did not judge his team to be poor.

"Karim usually scores goals. This match is not spectacular, but after we concede, the team plays properly," Ancelotti told DAZN.

Benzema appeared for 90 minutes after previously being absent quite a long time due to injury. Many think that's what causes the player not to be in maximum condition.

However, Ancelotti did not think so. "Karim has no problem starting to play for 90 minutes. He must get his best condition by playing," he said.

"This is an incident in football that can sometimes happen," continued the Italian coach.
