JAKARTA - Thousands of supporters of PSIS Semarang remain. Coming to the Jatidiri Stadium Semarang on Sunday night, despite the match against Bhayangkara FC in the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 continued, it was canceled after the competition was stopped by PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB).

PSIS supporters, both Blue Panzer and Snex, packed the North and South markets of the Jatidiri Stadium.

Together with the management and PSIS players, the supporters of the pride team from the capital city of Central Java shouted for support for Arema FC supporters after the riots against Persebaya Surabaya at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, Saturday (1/10).

PSIS CEO Semarang US Sukawijaya said the match between PSIS and Bhayangkara FC was agreed to be postponed by both teams.

According to him, the incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium was a disaster that hit Indonesian football.

"We agreed to postpone and evaluate thoroughly," he said as quoted by Antara.

PSIS itself is scheduled to face Bhayangkara FC in the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 continued at the Jatidiri Stadium Semarang on Sunday at 20.30 WIB.

PT LIB stopped the Indonesian League 1 season 2022/2023 for one week following the riots at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, after the Arema FC match against Persebaya, on Saturday (1/10).

The police recorded 125 people died in the tragedy that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, of which two members of the National Police.

Arema FC lost to its Persebaya guest with a score of 2-3 in that match.
