Almost Got Points In MotoGP Japan, Mario Aji: It's A Mixed Feeling

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Aji, again failed to get points in the Moto3 event. This time, he only finished in 17th position in the Japanese Moto3 race, Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Actually, his appearance is not bad enough, tends to be appreciated instead. Starting the race from the 28th grid, the Honda Team Asia rider was able to get a chance to win points.

Unfortunately, due to a number of incidents that occurred in front of him, Mario Aji had to be separated from the group in front of him.

He was trying to catch up. However, he was only able to finish in the 17th position, two positions apart from the points zone.

"It's a tough weekend. It's a mixed feeling," Mario said in a written statement.

"Unfortunately I missed the opportunity to get a good position on the grid (at the start). That made it difficult for me in the early laps."

"Many riders fell in front of me so I fell behind the big group too quickly."

Mario Aji admitted that he had learned a valuable lesson in this race at the Motegi Circuit. He also feels confident that he can use it to be better in the next series.

"In Thailand, I will not repeat this mistake. I will press for good results there," said the fostered Astra Honda Racing Team.
