JAKARTA - The Indonesian Volleyball League (Livoli) of the Main Division and Division One (Kejurnas Antarklub) will resume this year after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Livoli 2022 will start from the National Championship (Kejurnas) Interclub (Livoli Division One). This competition will be held from September 25 to October 2 at the Debes Sports Center, Tabanan Regency, Bali.
"There has been no Livoli for two years and this year there has been an immediate breakthrough. We make Livoli, which is usually only one draw, into three series," said Chairman III of the Competition and Competition Division of PP PBVSI Hanny S. Surkatty at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 21.
After the Club Championships, the Livoli event will continue to the Main Division. The implementation of this year's Livoli Main Division will take place in three different places after the previous edition was only held in one place.
Two regular rounds will be held at GOR Tawangalun, Banyuwangi (11-16 October), and GOR Sritex Arena, Solo (18-23 October). The competition then ended in the final four and final at GOR Ki Mageti, Magetan (4-10 November).
Surkatty said that for this year each participating club will receive subsidized funds. The amount of funds received by each club is different in each division.
"Antarklub di Bali menerima subsidi sebesar 10 juta, sedangkan di Livoli 15 juta di babak rutinan dan 25 juta di final four dan final. Kenapa kami memberikan subsidi karena klub ini adalah klub yang membangun atlet bola voli dan mereka juga bukan disusokong perusahaan, melain klub murni," kata Sukatty.
Later Livoli Division One will be followed by 23 men's teams and 19 women's teams from 16 provinces. Initially there were 18 provinces that registered, but Papua and North Sulawesi later resigned.
Meanwhile, the Livoli of the Main Division will be attended by 16 participating teams. Each team of men and four women's teams will play a regular round in Banyuwangi, while the rest will play in Solo.
The teams in Pool A Putra are defending champions Berlian Bank Jateng, TNI AU, Indomaret, and Ganevo. These teams will play at the Sritex Arena GOR with the women's team that are included in Pool EE, namely Popsivo Polwan, Kharisma, TNI AU, and Wahana Express Group.
Meanwhile, Pool B Putra is filled with Samator, DPUR Grobogan, Yuso Yogyakarta, and Pasundan. This team will play in Banyuwangi with Pool DD Putri, namely defending champions of Bank Jatim, Vita Solo, TNI AL, and Petrokimia.
Ranks one and two from Banyuwangi and Solo will enter the final four in Magetan. Meanwhile, fourth in each city will be relegated to Division One, while ranking one and second in Division One will go up to the Main Division.
