Haornas 2022: With The Prints Of Champions And Implementation Of DBON

JAKARTA - The Indonesian people were right on Friday, commemorating the 39th National Sports Day with the theme "Together to the Champion's Feet", which is carried in line with the spirit of the Great Design of National Sports (DBON).

Quoting Antara, the Haornas commemoration always comes with a different theme, but has the same meaning and purpose, namely building a national spirit for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

More than that also reminded how important it is for sport as the foundation of national and state character.

This is reflected in the evocative sentences, such as the Haornas theme in the last five years. At the 34th Haornas commemoration in 2017, the theme raised was "Olaholahraga Mengbarkan Kita".

One year later, the 35th Haornas in 2018 carried the theme "Let's Sports, Build Indonesia" and in 2019 the 36th anniversary, namely "Let's Sports, anywhere, anytime".

Entering 2020, the theme taken began to be narrowed by focusing on improving Indonesia's sports achievements. The theme of the 37th Haornas at that time was "Sport Science, Sport Tourism, and Sport Industry".

At that time, President Joko Widodo asked the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali to redesign the athlete coaching system on a large scale from the regions to the center.

Until finally in 2021 to coincide with the 38th Haornas commemoration, the Ministry of Youth and Sports introduced a blueprint for sports coaching which was later called the Great Design of National Sports or DBON.

No doubt Haornas in 2021 will also carry the theme "The Great Design of National Sports Towards Advanced Indonesia".

Since then, the Minister of Youth and Sports and other stakeholders have continued to carry the spirit of changing the new paradigm of Indonesian sports to implement DBON.

This year, Haornas has the theme "Together the Champion's Prints" as the implementation of DBON. The tagline illustrates that Indonesia has great potential to produce championes if all parties unite to build joint Indonesian sports.

Yes, in building national sports cannot be done individually. It takes cooperation, collaboration and synergy from all parties.

In DBON it is also stated that there are 17 Ministries/Agencies, 34 Provinces and all regencies/cities, namely 517, must work together in producing tough athletes who are able to make the nation proud on the world stage.

The existence of the Great Design of National Sports as stated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 86 of 2022 is getting stronger with the support of many parties.

The majority of them appreciate the existence of DBON. For example, former Olympic athletes who are members of the Indonesian Olympian Associate (IOA) who expressed their readiness to oversee the DBON program together with the winning score.

Now, it's time for Indonesia to jointly score again.

If we want to become a great nation, we must advance the achievements of our sport. Exercise is also a symbol of the human resources of the country itself.

DBON, must also be accompanied by implementation and consistency.

This is a big job that all levels of society must do. It can't just be the central government. The athletes' seeds emerged from the regions. Everyone must collaborate to advance Indonesian sports.

Haornas 2022 is a momentum to produce potential athlete seeds through DBON.

Haornas this time is a momentum for the sports community with new programs from the government. Through DBON, of course, it is hoped that with the design program, potential athletes will be caught so that later we can talk at the Olympic level.

The athlete's development can be continuous from upstream to downstream. So starting from the beginning of talent scouting to the athlete who won the Olympics, it was guaranteed.

DBON is not just a concept, but can also be realized. The implementation must also be in the parent organization.

From the various supports that exist, it becomes a way to realize the common goal of being able to advance sports in Indonesia. It's just a matter of how to unite the mindset or the same mindset towards sports development.

With DBON, national sports coaching is starting to find a direction. Various aspects are considered, including sending athletes to multievents, namely the main target of achievement is in the Olympics. Meanwhile, the Asian Games and the SEA Games were placed as targets between.

Even though there is already DBON, the journey to the glory of national sports achievements is still very long. It takes a joint commitment and consistency to be able to realize the noble ideals of scoring champions in the world of sports.
