Menpora Encourages Young Athletes At PPLP Medan

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali visited the North Sumatra (North Sumatra) Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) in Medan, North Sumatra. Meeting young athletes, Zainudin advised to keep the spirit of training even in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accompanied by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Musa Rajekshah toured and checked a number of sports venues and facilities at PPLP Medan. According to Menpora Zainudin, this facility can be used for young athletes to train, so that it can make Indonesia proud at the national and international levels.

"The government is trying to prepare the existing needs. But, I ask you to concentrate on training. And, what is important is that you have to remember, you are PPLP North Sumatra athletes. Give pride to the name of your region at the national and international levels. Stay enthusiastic," he said. Menpora Zainudin, in an official statement received by VOI, Friday, November 13.

Menpora added that he wanted dozens of athletes who attended this afternoon to be encouraged and concentrated in training. The government, he continued, continues to strive to prepare for PPLP needs.

A similar sentiment was also conveyed by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Musa Rajekshah. The presence of the Indonesian Menpora is expected to increase the enthusiasm of athletes to train.

"On this occasion, I would like to thank the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports. Hopefully this can increase the enthusiasm and seriousness of the athletes in training. We hope that our athletes will excel both at the national and international levels," said Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah.
