JAKARTA - Shakira and Gerard Pique will start a court battle after peace negotiations fail.

The former couple broke up on July 4. However, in the next few months, the two will start a battle over the treasures of gono-gini.

One of the expensive items that Pique and Shakira fight over is a private jet they bought 12 years ago. According to some reports, the Learjet 60XR has a value of 20 million US dollars, equivalent to Rp. 297.77 billion.

The jet has a bedroom with two beds, a small living room and a dining area. It is part of several properties that Pique and Shakira will claim in court.

It remains to be seen whether the judge will pass the rights to ownership of the jet to one of them or decide to sell the assets and share the total value.

The report asserts that Pique and Shakira leased the private jet to lower the cost of maintaining the asset when they are not using it.

An independent company listed these private jets in the catalog and leased them to third parties.

Meanwhile, Pique and Shakira are also still fighting over custody of their children, and the two will face each other in court.

Several reports confirmed that Pique wanted their children in Barcelona. However, Shakira wants to move to Miami with Milan and Sasha.

It is known that the Colombian singer has other legal issues with the Spanish IRS.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accused Shakira of six tax crimes. Spanish authorities have warned Shakira could face up to eight years in prison.
