Accused Of Running A 'Terror Regime' At Barca, Messi Is Furious

JAKARTA - Lionel Messi admits that he is upset that he continues to be scapegoated for the problems that surround Barcelona after former agent Antoine Griezmann accused him of running a 'terror regime' at the club.

Messi, 33, met a group of journalists at El Prat airport in Barcelona on Wednesday local time, after arriving back from defending Argentina.

A journalist asked what he thought about his agent Eric Olhats' statement last week that he was too controlling for Barca and would not help accommodate Griezmann at the club.

"I'm tired of always being a problem with everything that happens at this club," Messi replied on the ESPN website as reported by Antara, Thursday.

Griezmann himself has repeatedly stated his relationship with Messi is fine and sources close to the France international say he has not spoken to Olhats in years.

Both players made a good impact on the pitch in Barca's last game before the international break when Messi set up a goal for Griezmann.

However, Messi's latest statement has increased speculation that he could leave Barca when his contract runs out this summer.

The Argentine star announced a move last August after his side lost 2-8 to Bayern Munich and Manchester City were mentioned as his next port. But Barca did not want to let him go.
