JAKARTA - Gennady Golovkin lashed out at the judges who gave Canelo Alvarez a majority decision win against him in 2018.

The two fighters met in 2017 and 2018 as part of a trilogy to be completed this year, with the first duel ending in a draw and the second being won by Canelo.

Since then, Golovkin managed to win four fights against his opponents. Even though he admitted that he had moved on, he still felt that the jury's decision was wrong.

In an interview with The New York Post, the Kazahstan boxer talked about what he expects from the third fight against Canelo.

"I'll be honest with you, I moved on the next day," Golovkin said.

"I don't think too much about it. I realized that the people who scored it, they were being taken advantage of.

"They are used like disposable wipes. It's time to use them, they are used and thrown away."

Golovkin also talked about how Canelo was never an unbeatable fighter in his eyes, even though that is what many in the sporting world think.

"I've known Canelo for a long time, and I always knew it was possible, and Dmitry Bivol just showed us that," he said.

"Some experts are under the illusion that Canelo is invincible, I never share that opinion.

"(The loss to Bivol) kind of brought the situation back to reality, back to how it really was.

"I think he will draw conclusions as a result of his defeat. He will take our fight much more seriously, much more realistically, and it will be a completely different fight, compared to his fight against Bivol."

Golovkin also thinks that there are a lot of toxic people in Canelo's camp following his recent behavior.

"I can't speak for him, his behavior, I think it just shows his true face," Golovkin said.

"The way he was raised and the level of toxicity around him, the toxic people he had in his camp."
