However, the money is often spent by Paul to buy or rent a mansion. For several years, Paul lived in a mansion on the outskirts of Encino, Los Angeles, California. The controversial boxer bought the luxury home in October 2017 for 6.55 million US dollars.

The mansion was listed a few months earlier for $8.5 million. The house measures over 30,000 square feet and has 14 bedrooms. Paul ended up selling the house in April 2022 for $7.4 million. The buyer is Machine Gun Kelly.

Paul has spent the last few years living in Puerto Rico, where he rents a $13 million-plus mansion in a private Ritz-Carlton community.

In 2019, Paul paid $1 million for an 80-acre property called Fobes Ranch in the San Jacinto Mountains, about two hours east of downtown Los Angeles. In the 1960s, Fobes Ranch was occupied by Harvard professor-turned-LSD producer Timothy Leary.

Leary lives on the property and produces LSD with a group of Laguna Beach surfers who call themselves "The Brotherhood of Eternal Love".
