JAKARTA - Lewis Hamilton is unable to express his emotions to celebrate the seventh Formula 1 title he won in Turkey on Sunday and says his struggle has just begun.

The 35-year-old British racer, now the most successful Formula 1 racer in history, equaled Michael Schumacher's record seven titles but with more wins, pole positions and podiums.

"I know I often say this is beyond my wildest dreams but I think in my entire life I may have led this high," Hamilton said after adding to his 94th career win.

"This feels absurd. I remember watching Michael win all those championships ... seven is unimaginable."

Hamilton sobbed over the radio after crossing the finish line and felt emotional when he thought of his family and all the people who had helped him.

"I broke down in tears and then I couldn't get out of the car because I couldn't believe it.

"I don't want the visor of the helmet open and people see the tears streaming down and all because I always said I would never let you see me cry."

When asked if there would be a limit, eight, nine or ten titles, Hamilton indicated he would not just stop at seven.

"There is no end to what we can do together, I am with this team," he said.

"I feel like I just started, it's really weird. I feel great physically and mentally.

"This year has been the toughest year possible for millions of people and I know things don't always look good here and on a bigger stage but it's not that different for us athletes.

"I really hope next year is better and I want to stay.

"I still have three races ahead that I want to win. We will win that. I am sure.

However, Hamilton feels there are still things that Formula 1 can do, such as paying attention to human rights issues and becoming a sustainable sport.

"I want to help Formula 1, I want to help Mercedes on that journey," he said.
