Ganjar, who came on stage wearing a white shirt, sash and necklace with a drum, had a chance to talk with comedian Dodit Mulyanto and singer Endah Laras before starting their performance.

Dodit opened the popular number created by the Gesang keroncong legend with the friction of his violin which marked Ganjar's entry to hit the drum followed by Endah Laras' distinctive voice.

Not alone, Endah Laras also invited Ardha Krisna to sing. Ardha is a blind boy with a golden voice who was once invited to a duet by the late Didi Kempot.

Indonesia will host the replacement for the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, after Vietnam decided to withdraw.

Solo became the host city after obtaining approval from the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) because it was considered strategic and had easy access to the availability of adequate facilities.

The 2022 ASEAN Para Games will be attended by athletes from 11 countries in Southeast Asia. Indonesia as the host fielded 323 athletes, then Thailand sent 303 representatives.

The rest, Vietnam (119 athletes), Cambodia (112), Philippines (144), Malaysia (70), Myanmar (69), Singapore (37 athletes), Laos (37), Timor Leste (15 athletes), and Brunei Darussalam with a contingent of at least 13 athletes.

They will compete in 14 sports namely, blind judo, para-athletic, para-swimming, para-table tennis, para-badminton, para-chess, sitting volleyball, CP Football, para-weightlifting, para-archery, boccia, goalball, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis.

The opening of the 2022 APG was attended by Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin along with a number of state officials such as the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, to Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Prior to the main event, the audience was entertained by the performance of the entertainment group Pecas Ndahe and a number of performances by local bands. In the core show, the audience is also involved in the human configuration attraction.
