Liga 1 Results 2022/2023 Bhayangkara FC 2-2 Persib Bandung, Marc Klok: I'm Not Happy, My Feelings Are Really Not Good

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung failed to pick up full points when they visited Bhayangkara FC in the inaugural match of Liga 1 2022/2023, Sunday 24 July. In the match which took place at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, the two teams drew 2-2.

Persib Bandung fell behind after conceding Youssef Ezzejjari's goal in the 37th minute. However, Prince Biru got back up by scoring two goals back through Rachmat Irianto in the 41st minute and Frets Butuan in the 47th minute.

However, Sani Rizki Fauzi's goal thwarted Persib Bandung's victory. At that time, the game only had a few minutes left.

"We don't focus and give space to the opponent," said Persib midfielder, Marc Klok, after the match as reported by the club's official website.

"I'm not happy with it so we give points to them (Bhayangkara FC). My feelings right now are really bad," he continued.

Persib coach, Robert Alberts, was also disappointed. He considered, Maung Bandung deserved to win in that match.

He saw so much potential in his team to take full points. However, that potential was not able to be utilized properly, so they had to settle for going home with one point.

"Their goal which made the score 2-2 was something that didn't need to happen. We should have scored again in the last minute," he said.

With this result, Persib Bandung temporarily occupies the sixth position in the Liga 1 2022/2023 standings with one point. While Bhayangkara FC is one position above them.
