Great! Indonesia Dominates Singapore Open 2022 After Anthony Ginting Wins Men's Singles Title

JAKARTA - Anthony Sinisuka Ginting won the Singapore Open 2022 men's singles title. He defeated the Japanese representative, Kodai Naraoka.

Anthony won the title after winning two games 23-21 and 21-17 in a 52-minute match at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, on Sunday, 17 July.

The title obtained by the best Indonesian men's singles made Indonesia dominate by bringing home three titles from the BWF Super 500 level championship.

Previously two titles had been brought home by representatives of Indonesia. The two titles were respectively from the men's doubles and women's doubles.

In the men's doubles, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin won the title. The 2019 junior world champions took their first World Tour title in their career after beating their compatriot Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Meanwhile, the women's doubles title was won by the pair Apriyani Rahayu / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. Apri/Fadia rose to the highest podium after harboring the leadership of China's representative, Zhang Shu Xian/Zheng Yu.

The other two titles were won by representatives from India, Pusarla V. Sindhu and Thailand, Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai.

Sindhu won the women's singles sector by defeating the Chinese representative, Wang Zhi Yi.

Then the Dechapol/Sapsiree pair won the mixed doubles title by defeating another Chinese pair, Wang Yilyu/Huang Dongping.
