Federico Valverde's 'show' Can Lift Real Madrid's Performance

JAKARTA - The start of the 2020/21 season was not a friendly period for Spanish giants Real Madrid. The performance of the team nicknamed Los Blancos still fluctuates, but they are lucky because they have a figure like Federico Valverde.

Real Madrid started the 2020/21 season with a draw against Real Sociedad. Doubts arose, because the defending champion had indeed decided to use the same players as last season, aka not to buy any new players.

Valverde's magic doesn't stop there. He scored one more goal in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Huesca.

Calderon thinks that Valverde is an angel in the midst of a small crisis. Valverde has scored three league goals for Real Madrid this season. This is Valverde's best achievement since joining Madrid in 2016.

Valverde himself was only able to break into Real Madrid's first team in the 2018/19 season, where he previously had a loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna. And now, his position in the Los Galacticos main team is getting stronger.

Valverde also seems to be the right reason why Real Madrid did not continue the hunt for Donny van de Beek. Valverde is considered capable of performing well and playing various roles in the central sector.
