3 Indonesian Boxers Will Fight In Thailand Next July 8th, Hebi Marapu Becomes Main Party

JAKARTA - Three Indonesian boxers will compete in Thailand on Friday, July 8. The three boxers are Hebi Marapu, Ilham Loeisa, and Jon Jon Jet.

Hebi Marapu will take part in the main party in the event which will take place at the Max Muaythai Stadium, Pattaya. He will face Thai boxer Pipat Chaiporn in the race for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental lightweight title.

Meanwhile, Ilham Loeisa dueled with Atipbodee Srikao in the super lightweight class. Meanwhile, Jon Jon Jet faces Surat Eaim Ong in the super bantamweight division.

"In addition, there are several other additional parties. Such as Hamzah Farouk from Singapore versus Tongthep Taeyawong from Thailand in the super featherweight category," said Simon, Urgyen Rinchen Sim's nickname, as reported by Antara.

Simon said for Hebi this match was a way to return to the international stage. In the match later, Hebi should be wary of opponents who are full of experience.

"Experienced opponents and have held the IBF Asia-Pacific title. In terms of flying hours, we are optimistic that Hebi will be able to win and will be the way to the next level in the WBC boxing body and others," Simon said.

Especially for Hebi, appearing in Thailand is the second match this year. Previously, he appeared at the Stadttheater Bern, Bern, Switzerland on April 15, 2022, by winning a second-round TKO over Italian boxer Nicola Cipolletta. This victory increased Hebi's record to 16 wins from 17 matches.

While Pipat Chairorn will compete for the first time after two years of absence. He last entered the ring on 31 August 2019 by defeating Keerati Rueangdet in the third round. Throughout his professional career, Chaiporn has collected 47 wins, 13 losses, and two draws.

There are two international matches such as co-main events also in the event, continued Simon. Emmeric Dewaele (France) will face Thoedsak Sinam (Thailand) who will be fighting for the WBA Asia super middleweight title.

Then Nort Beauchamp (New Zealand) faced Chaiwat Createkrathok (Thailand) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental featherweight title.
