Indonesia Open Semifinal Ticket Floating Due To Injury Incident, Pramudya Concerns Jeremiah's Condition: Looks Like Knee Shifts

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles, Pramudya Kusumawardana / Yeremia Rambitan lost their ticket to the semifinals of the Indonesia Open 2022 that was in sight. The moment happened because Jeremiah suffered an injury in the last points of the second game.

Pramudya/Yeremia faced representatives of Malaysia, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik in the quarter-finals which was held on Friday afternoon. This hot meeting lasted until the rubber game round and ended with Malaysia's victory with a score of 21-14, 12-21, 20-22.

The third game was tense because actually Pramudya/Jeremiah only needed one more point to lock up the victory. But when the numbers showed a score of 20 Jeremiah was injured.

Not wanting to give up, Jeremiah, who was already in pain, forced him to finish the fight. After the match, Pramudya revealed the condition of his partner duet who he said had a problem in the knee.

"I asked (on the pitch) he only said he was sick. It looks like the knee is sliding a little bit,” explained Pramudya.

"I asked him up front for a point when he wanted to continue (playing) and he couldn't move at all," he continued.

However, Pramudya could not comment much on Jeremiah's condition. He said that after the match, his partner was immediately treated for further treatment.

"He said earlier that he would have an MRI first to see. How serious will be seen through the results of the MRI, "said Pramudya.

At the last moment on the field, the exhausted Jeremiah had to get out with the help of a wheelchair. At this time, he was seen crying as the coach and Pramudya continued to calm him down.
