McGregor Hina Masvidal, Calls His Rivals Stupid And Shallow

JAKARTA - Tensions between Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal are tighter than ever. Recently, the Irish fighter took to Twitter to call Masvidal a "bird brain" or a shallow fool.

Since then, McGregor's tweet has been deleted. However, one can speculate on his origins in Masvidal's comments about him that would spoil the face of The Notorious.

Masvidal has been touted as a potential opponent for McGregor since rising to headliner and challenger status. The two fighters even often war of words on social media.

So far, there is no certainty when the fight will take place. Masvidal is open to the possibility, but McGregor doubts he will accept it.

"He is a fake. He knows that I am a man who hits hard and I came to kill. I did not come to hug in the octagon," Masvidal was quoted as saying by Marca, Thursday, June 2.

"I would give everything in myself to kill him. I have a small body size, although now he is injecting steroids and all kinds of substances (in his body), but he is still a child," he continued.

"...I want to fight at 170 pounds, but I'm not waiting for anyone. If he wants to do it, I will destroy his face. If he doesn't want to do it, let someone come next."

That comment would obviously make McGregor hot.

Masvidal himself has not fought since losing unanimously to Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 272 in March. A few weeks after that, Masvidal allegedly assaulted Covington in the face outside a Miami steakhouse.

As a result of the incident, Masvidal was arrested and faces charges of committing a crime.
