SEA Games Provisional Standings 2021: Indonesia Remains In Third Place After Vietnam And Thailand

JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent still remains in third place in the 2021 SEA Games medal standings on Saturday afternoon. Until this afternoon, Indonesia managed to add five gold medals that came from chess, kayaking, canoeing and weightlifting.

The Indonesian women's chess duo WIM Chelsea Monica Ignesias Sihite and WIM Ummi Fisabilillah won the last gold medal from the 2021 SEA Games chess branch in the women's team lightning chess category.

In weightlifting, Indonesian lifter Rahmat Erwin Abdullah continued to dominate the 73kg class in Southeast Asia by winning a gold medal at the 2021 Vietnam SEA Games at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, Saturday.

Rahmat posted a total lift of 345kg with a snatch of 155kg and a clean and jerk of 190kg, far surpassing his opponents who recorded a total lift of under 325kg.

In kayaking, the Indonesian team consisting of Andri Agus Mulyana, Joko Andriyanto, Muji Harjito and Maizir Riyondra was able to gain gold in the men's category of kayak four 500m by recording a time of 00.01.29.562.

The Indonesian women's kayak team also won gold through Stevani Maysche Ibo, Ana Rahayu, Raudani Fitra and Cinta Priendtisca Nayomi who recorded a time of 00.01.45.459 in the women's kayak four 500m class.

Canoeing also contributed to the gold medal in the women's canoe four 200m category through Sella Monim, Dayumin, Riska Andriyani and Nur Meni who recorded a time of 00.00,44,390.

Overall, Indonesia has so far collected 56 gold, 73 silver and 64 bronze. Vietnam is in first place with 169 gold, 101 silver and 99 bronze, while Thailand is in second place with 70 gold, 80 silver and 114 bronze.
