Everton Lose To Bentford 2-3, Frank Lampard Highlights His Team's Two Red Cards

JAKARTA - Everton failed to stay away from the pursuit of their rivals in the competition to qualify for relegation from the English Premier League next season. Entertaining Bentford at Goodison Park Stadium, Sunday, May 15, Everton surrendered with a score of 2-3.

In this match, two Everton players got red cards. First Jarrad Branthwaite in the 18th minute and Salomon Rondon in the 88th minute.

Everton manager Frank Lampard said the loss of these two players greatly affected the team's game.

"I can't say that (something went wrong), everyone needs to understand that, then rest and go again, with the same desire and with 11 people," explained Lampard, as quoted by Antara.

The English manager continued, "Brentford is a quality team and Everton showed an extraordinary performance.

Even so, he hopes that his team can react after this defeat when they face Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

"They gave everything for a long time. I don't think it will be difficult for them to respond, that's what they have done over the last few periods," explained Lampard.

Currently, Everton perched in 16th position with 36 points. They are two points adrift of Burnley who are in 18th position, the last position of the relegation zone.
