KONI Proud Of Jambi Rowing And Wushu Athletes Dulang Medals At The Vietnam SEA Games

JAMBI - Jambi athletes won medals at the Vietnam SEA Games. The chairman of the Jambi Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), Budi Setiawan, said he was proud. Mainly athletes from rowing and wushu sports.

"We are very proud of the achievements of the Jambi athletes who participated in defending the Red and White and succeeded in presenting medals at international events," said Budi Setiawan in Jambi, Sunday, May 15.

The athlete from Jambi who successfully donated a medal at the Vietnam SEA Games was Ali Mardiansyah. He successfully donated a gold medal from the Lightweight Man's Quadruple Scull event with Kakan Rusmana, Ihram, and Ardi Isedi.

In addition, according to the Antara report, there is the name Mutiara Rahma Putri who has successfully donated two silver medals. The first silver medal was won in the Lightweight Women's Quadruples Scull with Melani Putri, Anggi Widiarti, and Nurtang.

Meanwhile, Mutiara Rahma's second silver medal was won in the Women's Lightweight Double Sculls with Melani Putri.

From the wushu sport, the Jambi athlete succeeded in donating a silver medal through Melisa Try Andani from the sanda number in the 56 kg class. She had to lose the gold medal opportunity after being defeated by the host representative.

Jambi Province at the Vietnam SEA Games contributed nine athletes, namely Juliana Klarisa from the women's weightlifting branch in the 55 kg class, Melisa Try Andani in the women's sanda (fighting) wushu branch in the 56 kg class.

The following are seven rowing athletes, namely Mutiara Rahma Putri and M Ali Mardiansyah in the rowing numbers. Then Dedi Saputra, Riska Andriyani, Joko Andriyanto, Devita Safitri, and Subhi in the canoeing number.

For this achievement, continued Budi, KONI Jambi hopes that the achievements of Jambi athletes on the international stage can be maintained in the future. Moreover, there will be many championships to be faced, including the national event for PON 2024.
