JAKARTA - Arema FC made a sudden decision. The club management nicknamed Singo Edan stopped training and gave the players a day off. What's wrong?

In fact, this decision was inseparable from the positive case of COVID-19 that befell one of the Arema players. He is Bruno Smith, a new foreign player by Singo Edan.

The player has undergone quarantine. While other players were also isolated. For this reason, all team activities were completely closed.

After five days off, the players are now starting to train again. Arema coach, Carlos Oliviera said the players should be in a fresher condition after being closed.

He admitted that he did not want this to happen. The former Becamex coach Binh Duong wants his team to train in preparation for the competition.

"We will keep our focus until the end of the month to welcome the competition at the beginning of the month. Everything that happens, let it happen," said Arema coach Carlos Oliveira.

The coach said the players were in good shape physically. Currently, Singo Edan is focusing on thinking about the League 1 competition which is likely to be continued in November 2020.

"So we will focus on that," he said.
