4 MotoGP Riders Whose Fate Is In Danger, Maverick Vinales Is One Of Them

JAKARTA - The market for MotoGP riders for the 2023 season has started to heat up even though the 2022 season has only run for six series. A number of teams have started guerrillas to determine the composition of the team next season.

A number of riders are now in danger of their position. If they are not able to give an impressive impression in the next few races, they could be kicked out.

There are four names whose position is threatened. The first is Maverick Vinales. The Spaniard was indeed tied to Aprilia Racing only until the end of the 2022 season.

There is no sign that Aprilia will extend the contract of the former Yamaha rider. It seems that Aprilia is still not convinced to keep Vinales after seeing his performance at the start of the 2022 MotoGP season.

Of the six races that have been carried out, Vinales' best achievement is occupying seventh position in the Argentine MotoGP race. While the rest outside of the top nine. If he doesn't show an impressive performance, it's not impossible that Vinales will be kicked out of his current position.

Besides Vinales, there is also the name Andrea Dovizioso. The WithU Yamaha RNF rider also appeared sloppy at the 2022 MotoGP. In fact, he always failed to make it into the top 10 of the six races he played.

The other two names are LCR Honda riders, Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Marquez. Both also appear far from satisfactory in the 2022 season.

Currently, Nakagami and Alex Marquez occupy the 15th and 17th positions in the 2022 MotoGP rider standings. The best result achieved by both of them is only finishing seventh. Nakagami won it in the Spanish MotoGP race, while Alex Marquez in the Portuguese MotoGP.
