Villarreal Lose 2-0, Unai Emery Threatens Liverpool: They Will Suffer At Home To Us Next Week

JAKARTA - Villarreal lost 0-2 to Liverpool in the first leg of the 2021/2022 Champions League semifinal at Anfield Stadium, Thursday, April 28 in the morning WIB. However, Liverpool will not be able to calm down.

As is known, the Reds won thanks to Pervis Estupinan's own goal and goals from Sadio Mane. Both goals were created in the second half, precisely in the 53rd and 55th minutes.

Villarreal will certainly appear adamant in the second leg which will be held at the Estadio de la Ceramica, 3 May. They must win by three goals to qualify for the final round.

Villarreal coach Unai Emery has also threatened Liverpool. He said, his team will give suffering to the visitors in the match later.

"For us this is not a good result but we will do something at home with our supporters. Next week's game will be very different than today," Emery was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"It is very important to make changes next week at our home, maybe tactically. I think they will suffer next week at our home," he continued.

Liverpool itself is believed to not be focused on the second leg. The reason is, Jurgen Klopp's team must undergo a match that is no less important in the domestic arena. At the weekend, Liverpool will face Newcastle United. This match is also a must-win considering that they are in a tight competition with Manchester City in the race for the English Premier League title.
