IBL 2020 Competition Officially Canceled: NSH Jakarta Continues Training, Bima Perkasa Week Off

JAKARTA - The holding of the 2020 Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) competition was canceled. This decision was taken by the IBL operator after seeing the current conditions and situation in the country.

The club can't do much. Although disappointed, the club can understand the steps that the IBL organizers are taking. Some clubs have even taken decisions after the competition was canceled.

NSH Jakarta for example. The club management decided to continue the training program for their players even though it is certain that they will not compete this season.

"The children continue to train as usual," said the manager of the NSH Jakarta club, Arlan.

He emphasized that NSH Jakarta could receive an explanation regarding the cancellation of the competition. The Jakarta club management cannot deny that the spread of COVID-19 is still very high.

In line with NSH Jakarta, the Bima Perkasa club could accept the cancellation of the continued IBL 2020 competition. In fact, they appreciated the hard work of the operators who are still trying to make the competition continue.

Now, the club from Yogyakarta has begun to shift its focus to IBL for the 2021 season. The players are given a week off before training again for the next season.

"Actually, the children are ready, so we give them a day off first so that their condition is conducive before starting training again," said Bima Perkasa's manager, Dyah Ayu Pratiwi.
