PSG And Bayern Munich Have Already Sealed The League Title, Who Will Follow?

JAKARTA - Two European giants, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, have already confirmed the domestic league title before all matches are completed. So who will follow?

A 1-1 draw against Lens on Sunday, April 24 yesterday, was enough for PSG to seal the Ligue 1 title. Until week 34, PSG had collected 78 points.

It is no longer possible to catch that score by their closest competitor, Olympique Marseille, who are 16 points adrift, with four games remaining.

"I think this is very important to add to the title for the club. We are very happy and need to add value to this title," said PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino.

In the Bundesliga, a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, April 23, ensured Bayern Munich won the league. The additional three points solidified their position at the top with 75 points.

Bayern is also 12 points ahead of Dortmund who occupy second place. With three games remaining, it is impossible for Dortmund to overtake their eternal rival.

"We were able to release some of the weight on the chest. Now it's incredible," said Thomas Muller.

If the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 already have winners, not so with the Spanish La Liga, English Premier League, and Italian Serie A.

In La Liga, Real Madrid is likely to be champions in the near future. Currently, Carlo Ancelotti's men lead the standings with 78 points, 15 points ahead of Barcelona and Sevilla who are in second and third positions.

With five games remaining, anything is possible. However, Real Madrid has a bigger chance because they only need one more win.

While in the Premier League and Serie A, the competition is very hot. In England, Manchester City are in close competition with Liverpool. Meanwhile, in Italy, AC Milan had a fierce duel with their city brothers, Inter Milan.

It is believed, the fight in these two domestic leagues will be decided until the last match.
