"We are happy to face fellow World Cup finalists and this presents a different challenge for our team," Berhalter said as quoted by Antara, Thursday. "This is a critical period for our team's preparation."
Morocco are in Group F of the World Cup with Canada, Croatia and Belgium. While the United States is in Group B with England, Iran, Wales and Scotland or Ukraine.
It was the second match for the US national team to play at TQL Stadium, home to FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer (MLS), having previously beaten rivals Mexico 2-0 last November.
The United States will play four games at the start of June, starting with Morocco and continuing with another friendly on June 5 and CONCACAF Nations League home games against Grenada on June 10 and in El Salvador on June 14.
