The Bright Point Of Sandy Walsh And Jordi's Naturalization Process, Starting To Can't Wait To Defend The Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA - Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat are increasingly ready to be naturalized to become players for the Indonesian national team. The two players were enthusiastic and had signed the documents required by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan said the two players had agreed to defend the Red and White squad. Apart from personally, the blessing was also given by the families of each player.

"Very welcome, both personally and family. They are very enthusiastic to immediately defend the Indonesian national team," said Iriawan in a statement on the PSSI official website.

To speed up the naturalization process of Sandy and Jordi, PSSI sent the Executive Committee of Hasani Abdulgani and Hamdan Hamedan to the Netherlands and Belgium to meet face-to-face with the two players and their families. In addition, the two men were also given the task of taking care of all the administration related to the naturalization process.

In a report to the General Chairperson of PSSI, Hasani and Hamdan explained that both Sandy and Jordi could not wait to become Indonesian citizens. Even their families were moved to receive the PSSI envoy.

"Even Jordi's grandmother was crying. So indeed the eastern style requested by the PSSI General Chair for kulonuwun (excuse me) to the family is very appropriate. They thank us for coming to meet Jordi and Sandy's family," said Hasani.

PSSI itself targets the naturalization process for the two players to be completed this month. If the target is completed on time, the national football parent will continue the process of changing the federation to the international football parent (FIFA).

However, Sandy and Jordi's naturalization process is still hampered by additional documents, namely the Transfer of Citizenship Certificates from the Dutch and Spanish governments. This document is beyond the scope of PSSI.

To get the document, PSSI must take one month or even more. This could have hampered the targets set by PSSI.
