New Coach Persita Tangerang Revealed To Replace Widodo C Putro: Welcome To Coach Alfredo Vera!

JAKARTA - Persita Tangerang finally announced the name of their new coach for Liga 1 2022/2023, Tuesday 19 April. Swordsman Cisadane officially named Angel Alfredo Vera as their new coach.

This Argentinian coach replaces Widodo C Putro. He is believed to be able to bring big changes to the Cisadane Warriors next season.

"Welcome to join coach Alfredo Vera," wrote Persita on their official Instagram page.

Alfredo's name had been included in the discussion with Persita's management long ago. However, he was only announced as coach today in honor of his contract with Persipura.

After being appointed to the chair of Persita coach, Alfredo Vera immediately carried out an evaluation regarding the players who would be expelled and retained. There are even several names that have been bagged, both local and foreign players.

"Thank you very much for the full trust given by Persita's management to me to be able to train Persita next season. Hopefully we can always work together to produce maximum results for Persita," said the 49-year-old coach as reported by the club website.

Alfredo's role in national football is certainly not in doubt. He was previously recorded as successfully bringing Persipura to win ISCA 2016 even though last season he had to see the same team relegated to League 2.

After bringing Persipura, Alfredo accepted Persebaya Surabaya's proposal in 2017. At that time, Bajuk Ijo had just been recognized again as a member of PSSI and was allowed to compete in Liga 2 2017.

While sitting in the chair of Persebaya coach, he was burdened with the target of winning League 2 in his inaugural season. He managed to fulfill this target by bringing Persebaya to win League 2 and promotion to Liga 1 Indonesia.
