Liverpool Management Doesn't Meet Mohamed Salah's Salary Demands, El-Hadji Diouf: That's Because He's African

JAKARTA - Liverpool player, Mohamed Salah, has the opportunity to move to another team. Until now, the Egyptian player has not signed a new contract with Liverpool.

Rumors circulated that a new contract offered by Liverpool's management in December had been rejected by Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa. The player is believed to be asking for a salary of around £400,000 per week.

Currently Salah earns 200 thousand pounds per week. This is far below Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City) who is paid £400 thousand per week and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) £510,000 per week.

Former Liverpool player, El Hadji Diouf, spoke about this. He asks Salah to come to his senses.

Diouf assesses that the 29-year-old player will not get the desired contract because he is not from a European country.

"Salah has to realize he's African, so they (Liverpool) won't treat him like a European, and they won't give him the best contract like the others," Diouf told beIN Sports, as reported by the Mirror.

"The same thing happened to me when I was at Liverpool," he continued.

Diouf said Liverpool should be able to fulfill Salah's request. He also advised the former AS Roma and Chelsea player to stay at Liverpool.

"If I was Salah, I would stay at Liverpool. He could earn more money, he is the best player at the club with (Sadio) Mane, and with him Liverpool will win a lot of trophies," said Diouf.

The man who defended Liverpool from 2002 to 2005 suggested Salah to play four more years at Anfield. He also did not advise the player to leave for a new club, including Real Madrid.

"The transfer to Real Madrid means he will start all over again," said Diouf.
