Perbasi Will Select Players For The Basketball National Team In Seven Cities Of Indonesia

JAKARTA – The Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PP Perbasi) will open a selection for youth. It is planned that this selection will be carried out in seven cities in Indonesia.

In addition to channeling hobbies, this selection was also held to open up opportunities for young people to strengthen the national basketball team on international stages.

"We open opportunities for young people to defend the Red and White in various international events through basketball. We will come and hold a selection in the near future," said Secretary General of PP Perbasi Nirmala Dewi in an official statement.

This selection will be assessed by qualified coaches. Teens who meet the qualifications will be included in the Perbasi list.

They will then be recruited to play in a team that is honed in matches by strengthening the Indonesia Patriots in the IBL. This team will be prepared to become a senior national team player.

"Everything is still being finalized. But one thing is certain, PP PERBASI always provides opportunities for Indonesian youth to defend the nation through basketball. Please prepare yourselves and welcome this valuable opportunity for the sake of pride in defending the country," said Nirmala.

The seven destination cities are currently still in the discussion stage. However, what is certain is that these cities have been the granaries for the birth of national basketball players.
