JAKARTA - The continuation of the career of Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez has been questioned again. The accident that was experienced during the warm-up session at the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP made his diplopia recur.

The double vision disorder raises the possibility that the Spaniard could be out for the next three months. This was conveyed by the doctor Claudio Costa.

"In my opinion, because it's a very mild form maybe it's a muscle swelling, something that accentuates an old scar. I think it could be over in less than three months. Tomorrow morning he can wake up and see clearly."

Dr. Costa then explained that Marquez's problem arose because there was an out of sync eye movement muscle, so the figure identical to number 93 could not see perfectly.

If he can recover soon, it is not impossible that Marquez will return to race next week at the Argentine MotoGP. However, if it takes about three months as Costa predicts, then Marquez could lose eight MotoGP races.

If he had to miss eight series, it could make Marquez again lose the title like when he failed to appear in MotoGP 2020 and was absent for quite a while in several series in MotoGP 2021.
