MotoGP Indonesia 2022: Moto2 Qualification Results, Jake Dixon Starts From The Leading Position

JAKARTA – British racer Jake Dixon took pole position in the Moto2 class after recording the fastest time in the qualifying session at the Mandalika Circuit, Saturday afternoon 19 March. Dixon who defended the GASGAS Aspar team in the 2022 MotoGP, made a record time of 1 minute 35.799 seconds.

Dixon outperformed two of his toughest competitors, Sam Lowes (England) who finished third, and Augusto Fernandez (Spain) who started second. This is the first time Dixon has been in pole position while racing in Moto2.

“My team this time was amazing. Honestly, I'm not the most talented racer here. But I'm supported by an amazing team," said Dixon.

Meanwhile, the Mandalika Pertamina SAG team racer, Bo Bendsnyder, only managed to occupy the 5th starting position in the MotoGP Indonesia 2022 Moto2 class, Sunday afternoon, March 20.
