Damri Bus Passengers At Lombok Airport Increase Ahead Of The Mandalika MotoGP

JAKARTA – The number of passengers on the Djawatan Motor Transport of the Republic of Indonesia (Damri) at the Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport in Lombok has increased ahead of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP.

Apart from the existence of MotoGP, the increase in passengers has occurred since the mandatory rules for PCR and antigen tests for domestic travelers were removed a few days ago.

"Passengers have increased by around 20-30 percent since a few days ago. On average, they go from the airport to Mataram," said Gusti, the Damri bus driver in a statement received by VOI, Tuesday.

Currently, the government has provided a mode of transportation in the form of public buses ahead of the MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit on March 18-20.

This mode of transportation will transport passengers from Lombok International Airport to a number of destinations on the island.

The Damri bus routes provided include the airport route to the Mandalika Bus Terminal in Mataram, the airport to Lombok Epicentrum Mall, the airport to Senggigi and the airport to Bangsal.

In addition, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) supports the implementation of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP and also prepares six free shuttle bus routes from the Mandalika Circuit to a number of destinations.

The six free bus routes are the Mandalika Circuit - Bangsal Port, Mandalika Circuit - Mataram City Center, Mandalika Circuit - Lembar Harbor, Mandalika Circuit - Gili Mas Harbor, Mandalika Circuit - Lombok International Airport, and Mandalika Circuit - Kahyangan Harbor.
