Viral Video Of Mbappe Being Stepped On By Gueye, Netizens: How Much Did Real Madrid Pay To Do That?

JAKARTA - The video of the incident at the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) training session ahead of the Real Madrid match has gone viral on social media. In the video, Idrissa Gueye steps on Kylian Mbappe's feet until the star lies down.

The video, which was also uploaded to the ESPN Instagram account, shows clearly when Gueye stomped on the back of Mbappe's left foot who was in control of the ball.

Suddenly Mbappe screamed and groaned in pain until he fell while holding the leg that Gueye stepped on.

"The moment Mbappe got injured during a PSG training session," wrote the ESPN account.

That moment then went viral and invited netizen reactions. There is even an assumption that netizens joked and said that Gueye had been paid by Real Madrid to injure Mbappe.

"How much did Real Madrid pay to do that?" joked netizens.

"Gueye paid by Madrid eh?" grab another netizen in the comments column.

Prior to this video circulating, PSG a few hours earlier had confirmed that Mbappe had suffered an injury during training. This video then further strengthens Mbappe's condition, which must undergo examination.

According to Sport Bible, the incident forced Mbappe to undergo a series of medical tests. This action was taken to determine whether Mbappe deserves to play or not against Madrid.

PSG itself is believed to be incurring a huge loss if Gueye's footstep really makes Mbappe injured. Considering that the 23-year-old striker is often a PSG breaker when Lionel Messi and Neymar have difficulty scoring goals.

PSG's sharpness is also very much needed, because they are scheduled to visit the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium which is Madrid's headquarters. At the meeting on Thursday, March 10, the two teams will attack each other for the second leg of the Champions League last 16.
