PSSI Takes Firm Action On Controversial Match Equipment In Farmel FC Vs Persikota Match

JAKARTA – PSSI took a firm stance against the match equipment in the Farmel FC party against Persikota Tangerang in the round of 16 League 3 Group C. The equipment deemed to have performed incorrectly in the match was given a sanction.

Farmel and Persikota match which took place at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium on Sunday, March 6 afternoon, left controversy. The match officials in the match made several decisions that were detrimental to Persikota.

"While waiting for the Disciplinary Commission (Komdis) hearing, PSSI has taken a firm stand against the (match) equipment and has returned the equipment that led the match and subsequent sanctions against the referee," PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi told VOI, Monday, March 7.

In that match, Persikota was harmed several times by the referee's performance, including the onside position when the opportunity opened in front of the opponent's goal, it was said to be offside. In fact, the replay shows Persikota players onside.

Another controversy is awarding a penalty for Farmel FC. This penalty is considered a handicap because it is clear that Farmel FC players fell by trying to hit Persikota players.

The match equipment which was considered one-sided even made Persikota and Farmel FC players fight. This made the police along with other match equipment enter the field to create a conducive atmosphere.

Yunus admitted that his party had received a report from the match organizing committee regarding the commotion as well as the resignation and disappointment of Persikota officials against the match referee. However, he regretted Persikota's decision to withdraw.

"From the reports we received that Persikota did not want to continue the match. We regret this very much because of course the resignation of Persikota will enter the realm of the Komdis trial," he said.

Meanwhile, Persikota Manager Mahdiar emphasized that the cheating referee in the match against Farmel was not something that was made up. He said that the referee in the match deliberately wanted to give an advantage to a certain team.

"The statement of the Secretary General (PSSI) which indeed stated that the referee who led yesterday's match was problematic, we will continue to fry it so that his opinion is awakened. Indeed Persikota was rigged by the referee," said Mahdiar.
