Qatar MotoGP FP3 Results

JAKARTA - Suzuki factory racer Alex Rins managed to become the fastest in the third free practice session (FP3) of the Qatar MotoGP at the Losail Circuit on Saturday, March 5. Rins shot with a time of 1 minute 53.432 seconds.

This record made Rins able to bloat the Repsol Honda factory racer, Marc Marquez, who was in second place with a longer time of 0.035 seconds. In third position, he followed the same factory rider with Rins from Suzuki, Joan Mir.

Entering ten minutes of FP3, Alex Rins was still leading the fastest time while still being followed by Marc Marquez and Joan Mir.

When FP3 entered the 23rd minute there was an incident Yamaha rider Franco Morbidelli had fallen at Turn six. However, there were no significant injuries suffered by Morbidelli so he was able to resume FP3.

Alex Rins continued to lead FP3 until the 30th minute. Likewise with Marc Marquez and Joan Mir who still occupy the second and third positions.

A record time of 1 minute 53.432 seconds Rins remained in the top position. Meanwhile, Marquez was able to improve his record time to +0.035 from Rins. Meanwhile, Joan Mir is +1,475 adrift of his teammate.

However, when FP3 had three minutes remaining, the Gresini Racing MotoGP Ducati rider, Enea Bastianini, managed to beat Alex Rins' record time. But his time was canceled because Bastianini made a foul touching the green area in the corner.

Until FP3 ended, Alex Rins continued to lead in the leading position, followed by Marc Marquez and Joan Mir. While the reigning MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo finished 11th.

The 2022 MotoGP series itself will open at the Losail Circuit, Qatar this weekend. Then Fabio Quartararo et al will return to asphalt at the Mandalika MotoGP Indonesia on March 20.
