Angry AC Milan Coach Only Draw Against Inter: We Should Have Win!

JAKARTA - AC Milan versus Inter Milan in the first leg of the Copa Italia semifinal ended in a goalless draw. The result of the match which took place on Wednesday, March 2 early morning WIB, made the Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, upset.

For Pioli, his team deserved to win in the match titled Derbi della Madoninna. The reason is, I Rossineri is considered to have more opportunities than their city rivals.

“Milan played well and deserved something more. I still think we deserved to win tonight," Pioli said.

Overall, Pioli said his team had played aggressively and energetically in the match against Inter. That's why Pioli was very disappointed because he couldn't bring his team to win the game.

Pioli admits Milan's shortcomings in this match were due to his team's lack of finishing.

"We had chances, we couldn't think of having six or seven golden opportunities against a team like Inter. However, we did only cause them problems and had to be more precise in the finish against Napoli."

However, Pioli said he was satisfied with his team's performance. He considered Milan's game to have progressed over the last two and a half years.

"I really liked the team's performance and we have to gain more confidence than that, because we are a team at this level," he said.

After this match AC Milan will again be faced with a tough match, namely facing Napoli in the Italian League competition. Pioli admitted, now only focus on the match.
