Experienced Car Accident, Franck Ribery Head Injured

JAKARTA - Salernitana player, Franck Ribery got a disaster. The former Bayern Munich player was in a car accident and had to be rushed to hospital with a head injury.

The news of the French national team player's accident has also been confirmed by his club, Salernitana. In a statement, the club said Ribety had an injury but it was not a serious matter.

"After a car accident, footballer Franck Ribery, who was not driving the car, suffered minor injuries," Salernitana said in a statement quoted on Tuesday, March 1.

Previously, Italian media Corriere dello Sport also reported that the 38-year-old player was the victim in a traffic accident.

Ribery who was in the passenger seat when the incident only suffered minor injuries, but he was still taken to the hospital in the city of Battipaglia on Sunday, February 27 morning. After receiving treatment, this source also said that Ribery was immediately allowed to return home.

The club has given time for the former Fiorentina player to rest to recover and give him time off from training sessions.

Regardless of his current state, Ribery has appeared in Salernitana's 16 matches by contributing two assists. Unfortunately, Salernitana is still at the bottom of the Italian Serie A standings.

Salernitana is only able to collect 15 points from 25 matches and is 10 points adrift of the relegation safe zone.
