JAKARTA - Persib Bandung goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam admitted that he was disappointed with the defeat his team suffered from Bhayangkara FC in week 23 of Liga 1 2021/2022. According to him, all the players have tried to perform optimally, but Dewi Fortuna has not been on their side.

"We have tried as much as possible with the existing players and showed extraordinary fighting spirit," he said, quoted from the official Persib Bandung website.

Teja considered that Bhayangkara FC's single goal was due to carelessness which actually had a fatal impact. In fact, according to Teja, all the players have shown consistency in helping the Persib defense line.

This was proven by Bhayangkara's goal which was just created before the game was over.

“The rescue is also the cooperation of the players, focusing on the field and supporting each other. The defense line played consistently, there were only misses," he explained.

At that meeting, Bhayangkara FC had to work hard to penetrate Persib's defense. The efforts of The Guardians only paid off after 76 minutes through Andik Vermansyah's pass which was finished well by Sani Rizki into a goal.

Losing three points in this match made Persib stuck in fifth position in the standings with 43 points. Meanwhile for Bhayangkara, this victory made them stronger at the top of the standings with a total of 49 points.
