Rajko Toroman Starts Monitoring IBL Players To Prepare For FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualification

JAKARTA – The coach of the Indonesian national basketball team, Rajko Toroman, has started monitoring the players competing in the 2022 IBL. This is in preparation for the FIBA World Cup 2023 Window II qualification.

The Indonesian basketball national team is scheduled to play two qualifying parties next month. They will meet hosts Saudi Arabia on February 24 and take on hosts Jordan three days later.

"Coach Rajko Toroman has been monitoring player performances since the IBL started. Monitoring will continue until the Bandung series to see progress," said the Manager of the Indonesian Basketball National Team, Fareza Tamrella, in a statement received by VOI.

Toroman's team plans to hold a training camp in Jogjakarta after the third IBL series this season. Incidentally, the third series of the highest national basketball caste will take place in Jogja on February 10-16.

So after strengthening their respective clubs, the best Indonesian players immediately joined the Indonesian national team. It is planned that 15 players will be called by the coach, but the available slots are not for players from the Indonesian Patriot team.

"Jogyakarta is used as a place for training camps so that training can begin immediately after the national team players have finished competing with their teams," said Indonesia National Team Manager Fareza Tamrella.

The first IBL series which took place in Jakarta was completed last weekend. Furthermore, IBL will enter the second series which will be held from January 29 to February 5, 2022. at Gor C-Tra Arena, Bandung City, West Java.

Dewa United Surabaya, Pelita Jaya Bakrie Jakarta, and Amartha Hangtuah closed the 2022 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) Jakarta series with a perfect record. They managed to wipe out four wins to compete in the White Division.
