The Difference In Points With The Leader Of The Standings Is Only Three, Robert Alberts Is Confident That Persib Will Win The League

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach Robert Rene Alberts is optimistic that his team will win Liga 1 for the 2021/2022 season. Moreover, the difference in points is not too far from the leader of the Bhayangkara FC standings.

"Five teams are only six points apart. With that distance something is still very possible. But when it's nine, it will be difficult," Robert told the club's official website, quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

According to him, his team still has a great chance of winning the league, especially after defeating Borneo FC last week which brought Prince Biru back to winning ways.

Maung Bandung is now in third place with 40 points or three points behind the leader of the standings.

Robert admitted that he did not want Persib to be overtaken by teams that stuck to fourth and fifth positions, namely Persebaya Surabaya (39 points) and Bali United (38 points).

Therefore, the Dutch coach is determined to continue to maximize the remaining 14 matches and get maximum points from the 14 matches because the dream of becoming a champion will be achieved by getting as many points as possible.

"We are currently three points behind from first place. We know where we are and what we are going to do and want to achieve," he concluded.

Bhayangkara FC is at the top of the league standings with 43 points, followed by Arema FC with 41 points.
