Elkan Baggott Most Likely Absent From Defending The Indonesian National Team Against Timor Leste

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team has started to gather for a training camp ahead of the FIFA Matchday against Timor Leste on January 24 and 27.

The Garuda squad, which contains 27 players, has even started training today. But there is no Elkan Baggott's name.

"There are several players (who have not joined the national team). But Elkan (Baggott) may not join," said assistant coach Nova Arianto in a written statement received by VOI.

Nova did not reveal the exact reason behind the absence of the Ipswich Town player. Instead, he gave the news that Muhammad Rafly and Rizky Dwi Febrianto would soon join the Garuda squad.

"Muhammad Rafly and Rizki Dwi held a wedding reception and will join them later," Nova explained.

The Indonesian national team will start a training camp in Bali. The Garuda squad is scheduled to train at the Samudra Kuta field, which has been renovated for the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
