JAKARTA - The Badung Regency Government, Bali, handed over bonuses to athletes from Badung who excel and win medals for the Province of Bali at the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.

"The Badung Regency Government remains committed to athletes from Badung who have achieved achievements, of course they will be given rewards," said Regional Secretary of Badung Regency I Wayan Adi Arnawa in Mangupura, Thursday quoted by Antara.

He said his party encourages Badung athletes who have participated and achieved achievements in various championships both at the regional and international levels to continue to improve their achievements.

In addition, the Regional Secretary Adi Arnawa also advised the athletes not to be complacent and continue to strive to improve their achievements and achievements.

"For this reason, we will continue to provide motivation and appreciation so that athletes, especially from Badung, can continue to train hard to achieve achievements in future events," he said.

At the PON XX Papua last October 2-15, as many as 61 athletes from Badung were recorded to have won medals while defending the contingent of Bali Province.

In detail, there were 14 athletes who won gold medals from seven sports, 14 silver medalists from 10 sports and 29 bronze medalists from 15 sports.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Badung People's Welfare Section, I Putu Sudika, explained that Badung athletes who won medals at the 2021 PON XX in Papua were awarded an individual gold medal of Rp. 25 million, an individual silver medal of Rp. 15 million, and an individual bronze medal of Rp. 10 million.

Furthermore, the team gold medalists with 2-4 players get a bonus of IDR 12.5 million per person, the team gold medal with 5-8 players is IDR 8.3 million per person, the team gold medal with more than eight players gets IDR 8.25 million per person.

For silver medal winners in the team 2-4 players get a bonus of IDR 7.5 million per person, silver medals with 5-8 players amounting to IDR 5 million per person, silver medal in the team with more than eight players amounting to IDR 3.7 million per person. .

"For the bronze medal winners with 2-4 players, they get a bonus of IDR 5 million per person, the bronze medal in the team with 5-8 players, IDR 3.3 million per person and the bronze medal in the team with more than 8 players get a bonus of IDR 2 5 million per person," he said.
