Mbappe's Mission At PSG Is To Win The Champions League

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Kylian Mbappe, revealed that winning the Champions League had become his mission since leaving AS Monaco and joining the club in the French capital in 2017.

Mbappe had the opportunity to complete his mission when PSG appeared in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich at the Da Luz Stadium, Lisbon, Portugal, Sunday local time or Monday morning WIB.

"Since I joined in 2017, we have gone through some disappointments and now we have reached the final which shows we don't give up, I don't give up," Mbappe said at a press conference, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 23.

"Of course it will be a pleasant achievement to be able to win the Champions League with the French club. That has been my mission since joining PSG," he added.

According to Mbappe, being able to win the Champions League with PSG will realize another dream, namely writing a new incision in the history of French football.

Because, throughout the 65-year history of the competition, both the Champions Cup and the Champions League, PSG became the fifth French team to reach the final and only Marseille won the title in 1993.

"I always said I wanted to be in the history of French football. Tomorrow is another opportunity to do that," he said.

Still 21 years old, Mbappe already has a number of brilliant records in the world of football, including scoring in the Champions League semifinals for Monaco at the age of 18 and scoring goals to help France win the 2018 World Cup at the age of 19.

Mbappe has scored five goals and five assists for PSG in the Champions League this season, of course his contribution is needed by Les Rouge et Bleu's troops in order to realize the dream for the first time to bring the Big Ear trophy.
