Even Though He Is 36 Years Old, Ahmad Bustomi Is Sure He Can Bring Persija To Be The Champion

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta officially brought in a third player to increase the team's attack power in the second round of the 2021/2022 Indonesian League 1 competition. This time the Kemayoran Tigers recruited midfielder Ahmad Bustomi.

The news of this third new recruit was shared by Persija Jakarta through their official Instagram page. In the upload that was shared on Tuesday, December 28, Bustomi's introduction was shared through a short video.

"Like a blazing twilight, I reiterate not to give up. Like the wheel keeps turning, this challenge will not scare me," said Bustomi in his introductory video.

Previously, Bustomi strengthened Persela Lamongan in the first round of Liga 1 Indonesia 2021/2022. Together with Persela, the midfielder who was born in Jombang made 21 appearances.

Bustomi is currently 36 years old. Even though he is no longer young, he is confident that he can help Persija win.

"Although there are many scornful tones, I emphasize that I have not finished myself," said the player who is also a former Arema player.

"For the sake of the city and the emblem on my chest, I am ready to fight. For the sake of Jakarta and Persija, our target is champions, I am Persija, I am champions."

Before officially bringing Bustomi from Persela, Persija had already brought in two other players. There is Ichsan Kurniawan in the midfield position and Samuel Christianson Simanjuntak to fill the defender position.
