Indonesia Vs Singapore Match Coinciding With Christmas, Ramai Rumakiek: We Are Ready To Fight For The Country

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will face Singapore in the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals on December 25. The match was held to coincide with Christmas, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the fans who celebrated.

One of them is Ramai Rumakiek. The Garuda squad winger actually felt even more excited about the match against Singapore which coincided with Christmas. Although many also celebrate Christmas, tomorrow's match is not considered an obstacle.

Many people feel that tomorrow's moment is a state duty that must be carried out properly and with dedication.

"For me, tomorrow (day) is Christmas, we are playing defending the country. Whether it's Christmas or New Year, we players are ready, especially we Christians are ready for tomorrow's match," said Ramai Rumakiek during an online press conference ahead of the match on Friday.

On that occasion, Ramai also expressed his opinion regarding Indonesia's 1-1 draw against Singapore in the first leg last Wednesday.

According to the Jayapura-born player, his teammates failed to win because they felt down when they had to concede a goal after winning first in the first round.

"The players may be a little bit (lost) mentally, yes, because they scored first, then the hosts replied. So they're a bit down. "Maybe there we players are careless, especially in defense," he said.

Reflecting on that match, Ramai then promised that he and his teammates would not repeat the same mistake and would improve their mentality in the second leg against Singapore. This was done to ensure that the Indonesian national team advanced to the 2020 AFF Cup final.
