Malaysian Fans Are Worried About The Results Of The National Team Vs Vietnam Match

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team still has one match left to ensure that they qualify for the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals. This decisive match will bring together the Garuda squad with Malaysia on Sunday, 19 December 2021.

Ahead of the final match which also became a prestige gamble, Malaysian fans looked worried. They are worried that their proud team will not be able to achieve maximum results.

Quoted by VOI on Friday, December 17, the anxiety of Malaysian fans was seen in uploads on the official Twitter account of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The @FAM_Malaysia account uploaded the results of the Group B standings after the match between Indonesia and Vietnam ended in a 0-0 draw.

"Group B Position Chart, AFF Suzuki Cup 2020. After Match Day 4 | Wednesday, December 15, 2021," the account wrote as a statement.

It was through the comments column that the Malaysian fans' concerns began to appear. Not a few of them were worried about the national team's defense against Vietnam, they also suspected that the Garuda squad could appear even more terrible after that match.

"Perhaps Indonesia will play defensively like this against Malaysia later," wrote Malaysian fans in the comments column.

In the counter match on Wednesday, Vietnam, coached by Park Hang-seo, dominated the match. Statistical records state that the Garuda squad is only able to control the ball with a percentage of 30.9 percent, the rest is controlled by Vietnam.
