Dortmund Vs Greuther Fürth 3-0: Haaland's Brace Brings Der BVB To Chase Bayern

JAKARTA - Erling Haaland led Borussia Dortmund to silence Greuther Fuerth 3-0 in the matchday 16 of the German League at Signal Iduna Park Stadium, Wednesday local time.

The Norwegian star scored two of Dortmund's three winning goals, while Donyell Malen scored the other goal.

As quoted from Antara, the victory wants to make Dortmund who is in second place with a collection of 34 points or only six points adrift of Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Fuerth, who lost their 14th this season, are increasingly cemented as caretaker of the standings with four points.

From start to finish, Dortmund barely gave Fuerth a chance to breathe and Thorgan Hazard found the net for the visitors in the 22nd minute, unfortunately, the goal was later disallowed by VAR for offside.

In the 33rd minute, Dortmund finally took the lead through Haaland's penalty after Maximilian Bauer's handball inside the restricted area.

Dortmund captain Marco Reus almost immediately doubled his team's lead three minutes later, but his shot past Julian Brandt's through ball was saved by goalkeeper Sascha Burschert.

The 1-0 score lasted until halftime and Dortmund continued to dominate the game until it finally paid off again in the 82nd minute when Haaland scored his second.

Starting from a free-kick for Dickson Abiama's foul on Thomas Muenier, Brandt sent a cross which was met by Haaland's sharp header into the bottom right corner of Fuert's goal to double the hosts' advantage.

Then one minute before the dispersal of normal time Malen completed Dortmund's 3-0 victory with a close-range flick after taking advantage of Brandt's pass.

In their next match this Saturday, Dortmund will travel to Hertha Berlin while Fuerth host FC Augsburg at Sportpark Ronhof.
