Europa League Playoff Draw Results: There's A Duel Of Diego Maradona's Former Club

JAKARTA - UEFA has completed the draw for the 2021-22 Europa League playoffs and the result is that Barcelona will immediately meet difficult opponents, namely Napoli, while Borussia Dortmund will face Rangers.

In previous seasons, the group winners and runners-up will go directly to the last 32 of the Europa League, now it is different from the group winners being directly entered into the last 16.

While the runners-up group met with eight teams ranked third in the Champions League. The winner of this playoff match will face the group winners in the round of 16. Two teams from the same country cannot meet.

The big match in this phase is Barcelona against Napoli, with the two teams last meeting in the round of 16 of the 2019-2020 Champions League season. Barcelona advanced to the quarter-finals after winning 4-2 on aggregate.

The two teams also have something in common, namely that they were defended by the late Argentine legend Diego Maradona.
